Cancellation and Refund Policy for Make Social

Effective Date: December 01, 2023, At Make Social, we are committed to delivering high-quality digital marketing and website development services at nominal rates. Our policy regarding cancellations and refunds is designed to ensure fairness to both our clients and our team. Please read this policy carefully before engaging our services.

Cancellation and Refund

1. Project Initiation and Payments

1.1 Full Upfront Payment

All projects at Make Social require full payment (100% of the total project cost) upfront before work begins. This payment structure allows us to offer our services at very competitive rates and to allocate resources efficiently for your project.

1.2 Non-Refundable Nature

Due to the nominal pricing of our services and the upfront payment structure, all payments are non-refundable once made.

1.3 Project Commencement

Work on your project is considered to have started once we receive the full payment and begin any of the following activities:

  • Initial consultations and strategy sessions
  • Research and planning
  • Design concepts
  • Content creation
  • Development or coding
  • Setting up accounts or platforms for your project

2. Cancellation Policy

2.1 Cancellation Before Work Begins

In the rare event that you choose to cancel the project after payment but before any work has begun, we may, at our discretion, offer a partial refund minus a 20% administrative fee to cover our costs associated with project setup and resource allocation. This is subject to verification that absolutely no work has commenced on the project.

2.2 Cancellation After Work Has Begun

Once work on your project has commenced, cancellations are not accepted, and no refunds will be issued. This strict no-refund policy is in place for several important reasons:

  1. Competitive Pricing: Our ability to offer services at very nominal rates is directly tied to our upfront payment and no-refund policy. This structure allows us to minimize financial risks and administrative costs, savings which we pass on to our clients.
  2. Resource Allocation: We carefully schedule our team’s time and resources based on project commitments. Once work begins, we have allocated these resources specifically to your project, potentially turning down other opportunities.
  3. Intellectual Property Creation: From the moment we start working on your project, we begin creating intellectual property tailored to your business. This includes custom designs, strategies, and code, which have value even in their initial stages.
  4. Opportunity Cost: By committing to your project, we may have declined other potential projects. The non-refundable policy helps offset the opportunity cost of choosing your project over others.
  5. Fair Compensation: Our team invests time, expertise, and creativity into every project from the outset. The no-refund policy ensures they are fairly compensated for their work, even at our nominal rates.
2.3 Refund Processing Timeline

All refunds will be initiated within 5–7 working days of the finalization of the refund issue by Make Social, and the amount will be credited to the original payment method within 3–4 business days thereafter.

3. Project Changes and Modifications

3.1 Scope Changes

If you wish to make significant changes to the project scope after work has begun, we will assess whether these changes can be accommodated within the current project framework. Major changes may require a new project agreement and additional fees.

3.2 Pausing Projects

If you need to pause a project after work has begun, we may be able to accommodate this request depending on our current workload and schedule. However, please note that pausing a project does not entitle you to a refund, and additional fees may apply when resuming the project due to potential rescheduling and resource reallocation.

4. Exceptions

4.1 Failure to Deliver

In the unlikely event that Make Social fails to deliver any of the agreed-upon services or deliverables as outlined in the project contract, a partial or full refund may be issued at our discretion, depending on the circumstances.

4.2 Force Majeure

If the project cannot be completed due to circumstances beyond our control (such as natural disasters, acts of war, or other force majeure events), we will work with you to find a mutually agreeable solution, which may include a partial refund or credit towards future services.

5. Communication

We strive to maintain open and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle. If you have concerns about the project’s progress or deliverables, please bring them to our attention immediately so we can address them promptly and professionally.

6. Agreement to Policy

By engaging our services and making the full upfront payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Cancellation and Refund Policy. We appreciate your understanding of this policy, which allows us to maintain our high standards of service and commitment to all our clients while offering our services at very competitive rates. If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us before making your payment and beginning your project.
